Mary Atwood

Mary is an illustrator exploring color, solving problems, and creating work inspired by her travels, folklore, nature, and Taiwanese-American heritage.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin, she decided to move to Seattle, Washington, USA, to pursue her illustration dreams- and has never looked back. She has enjoyed both in-house and freelance design roles over the past 8 years, creating illustrations and patterns for home decor, stationery, textile, and gift products carried by several stores including: Target, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Whole Foods, and lovely local boutiques.

Equipped with a drawing tablet and a desk constantly covered in plants and various objects for studying, gouache and watercolor paints, and a large collection of brushes and pencils, her passion is to learn and grow through making work that sparks both curiosity and inspiration in others.
